Team PhotoAmigo

We are a company of two; Robert Heckes and Andre Sayre. Robert keeps the fire bright with a special mix of art and technology.

Robert is interested in web-based databases that make a substantial contribution to culture. Robert brings experience from previous developments including a portfolio management and weblog art site that is being used by a community of emerging and established artists. Robert remains inspired by all the good that comes from mainstream sites like Craig Newmark's Craigslist and social networking sites like Facebook and MySpace. He feels that there are powerful benefits received by communities that grow around the sharing of images, be it photos, art, videos and music. Robert keeps the fire lit by bringing a special mix of art and technology to the table. He keeps in the daily practice of making art and taking photographs while keeping a close eye on managing and developing the PhotoAmigo infrastructure.

Andre is 18 and has completed many required courses toward a Masters Degree in Computer Science at UCSB.

Andre is in charge of the PhotoAmigo application, web servers, mail server and database infrastructure. Since he also programs for an open-source game server which, so far can hold & run with over 8000 simultaneously connected clients, Andre is very prepared to face the challenges of a large photosharing community site.
